  Great condos, fun location and we hope to return. This particular unit was advertised as ocean view, but you really had to work to "see" the view because it was ground level. We really appreciated the "pet friendly" status even though the carpet showed that it was pet friendly. Would bring my own bath mat next time and if the sleeper sofa was needed, would bring own bedding. Jackie in the office was very helpful and worked with us when our plans changed last minute. We enjoyed our time and wish our stay could have lasted longer.

    We're glad to hear you found the location and condition of the condo great and plan to visit again. This is a ground floor oceanfront condo with great access to the ocean which may have lead to the confusion about the ocean view. We do post pictures of the view and interior for all our condos on our website so guests can see if the place is what they are looking for. Extra sheets for the sleeper sofa can be found in the bedroom closet. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope you can stay longer next time as well.

  Staying at Vacations By the Sea made our beach trip to Westport so fun and relaxing. Our unit was clean and nicely furnished. It was so nice to literally have the beach steps away. We will definitely be back again soon.

  We had been looking for a mini-break with friends from England where we could also bring our dogs. This was perfect. The room was gorgeous, right on the beach, with room to stretch out and even have our friends around from next door for a drink or two! Next time we might rent an upper floor just so that we could have the patio door open without the dogs running off!

  Great location when you have kids and a dog. Kids are able to walk out the back door and play in the grass and logs that are super close. My only wish is there were more dishes in the kitchen (a bigger sauce pan) loved this room!

  We love the unit and the location and have rented this particular unit before. We struggled with the refrigerater/freezer the entire weekend which was frustrating. since it was over the holiday I didn't think to contact the office as we were only there 2 nights.

  We usually stay in another place up the road from Vacations by the Sea but saw the condos on our last trip down and stopped in to get some info for the next time. Really glad we did because we loved the place and its so close to the beach. We will most certainly be back.

  Over all it was very clean and pleasant to stay in. We did have ALLOT of those blacke worms in our room which was very gross. They were mostly in small bedroom. Other then that very nice.

    We're glad you and your family had a great stay in Westport. The little centipedes are sometimes a problem this time of year as they like to come inside out of the heat. We have the buildings professionally treated every month but August is their mating season so they are out and about looking for a good time! Luckily they are completely harmless and just a pesky annoyance. The good news is the season doesn't last long for them and everyone loves this unit for its proximity to the beach and trails.

  We had a wonderful family vacation at Vacations by the Sea in Westport. The kids had a wonderful time on the beach building forts out of driftwood and searching for sanddollars and shells.. The beach was beautiful and quiet. The condo was wonderful and it was a home away from home. Our dog enjoyed joing us and had lots of fun chasing the seagulls and swimming in the ocean. We would definately come again.

  We love the property - our children loved the pool and the access to the beach was perfect. The unit smelled slightly musty which is to be somewhat expected given the proximity to the ocean.

  We had a great time and the condo was spotless - right on the sand dunes overlooking the ocean. There is a pool, playground for the kids and BBQ grills to rent - perfect for kids. Our only complaint is the price is a little steep (rivals the cost of a hotel at Disneyland) AND in addition they charge a $75 cleaning fee. That on top of no daily maid service which means no fresh towels, etc. Other than that, an exceptional place to stay.

  Our stay in unit 812 of Vacations By The Sea was for a relaxing weekend with our kids. We loved the spacious, tastefully decorated unit that allowed us to bring our Bishon with us. The ground floor was convenient and we loved facing the ocean. The bunkbeds were nice for the kids. The only negatives were many centipedes we would find that had come in from outside and the lack of activity downtown at the marina, shops and restaurants due to the impact the economy has had on the area.

  Desk clerk was completely unknowledgeable about any activities or facilities in the area or within the complex.
  
  The area is struggling from the economy so you will have a very "private' stay... but there are few restaurants and the ones that are open (Grill at Half Moon Bay was recommended) seemed to be uninterested in serving people... .After 3 attempts at ordering we left and got food from a local grocery. (: There is no "spa" as listed on the website... they had no clue as to what I was talking about.... and you will not hear any information from the desk clerk as she "isn't sure about the area" but the place is great otherwise. If you are going for relaxation and are ok with cooking your own meals (in a great kitchen) then this is your place. The beach is amazing (but no easy access for anyone who is not limber).... and is virtually uninhabited. We found a glass ball from Japan when there. It was a wonderful experience but just know what you are getting into. This isn't a resort where you will have staff available to help you.
  
  The room was really clean and well stocked. We will go again but and strongly recommend it but just understand the lack of facilities nearby and lack of staff support...
